For upper-mid and high frequencies, the 4369 employs the patented D2830B compression driver. This 3-inch (75mm) dual diaphragm, dual voice coil design, paired with dual neodymium motors and a newly upgraded Sonoglass High-Definition Imaging (HDI™) waveguide, delivers precise imaging and a smooth, extended frequency response.
JBL's MultiCap™ crossover features premium-grade components supporting audiophile-level performance with any setup. 15-inch (380mm) 2219Nd Differential Drive Woofer
The 2219Nd is a 15-inch (380mm) woofer featuring JBL’s patented Differential Drive® technology with dual 3-inch (75mm) voice coils. Its pure pulp cone is paired with copper cap/Faraday rings to reduce AC inductance, lower distortion, and enhance midrange clarity and crossover performance. The motor is extensively FEA-optimized for up to 50% greater excursion, while dual opposing spiders (one inverted) help cancel non-linearities under high excursion. A newly designed cast-aluminum frame provides better venting and increased structural rigidity, ensuring superior performance and durability.
MultiCap ™ Crossover Network with Single-wire and Bi-wire/Bi-amp Connectivit
By replacing traditional large capacitors with an increased number of smaller capacitors, this design results in lower ESR (Electro-Static Resistance) and less energy-loss in mechanical movement, culminating in greater signal throughput to the drivers, increased power handling, enhanced dynamics, ultra-low distortion, and exceptional clarity.

3-inch (75mm) D2830B Compression Driver Mated to Sonoglass HDI Waveguide
The 2830B compression driver is coupled to a patented Sonoglass High Definition Imaging (HDI™) horn/waveguide and features two ultra-light annular Teonex diaphragms, each with its own voice coil and neodymium motor structure. This approach matches the radiating area of a traditional 3-inch diaphragm while offering a significantly lower mass-to-motor force ratio. This dual-diaphragm design enhances high-frequency output, smooths and extends HF response, improves overall efficiency, and enables higher maximum output, reduced distortion, and double the power handling.
High Frequency and Ultra High Frequency Controls
System integration is optimized through high-frequency (HF) and ultra-high-frequency (UHF) controls, allowing precise adjustments from -1 dB to +1 dB in 0.5 dB increments. These fine-tuning options enable tailored sound performance for any environment, with HF adjustments covering the 1.5–6 kHz range and UHF adjustments targeting frequencies above 5 kHz.
Iconic Studio Monitor Design with Furniture Grade Cabinetry
The acoustic components of the JBL 4369 are housed in a classic Studio Monitor Series-style cabinet, featuring a clean and professional design. As the heaviest part of the system, the cabinet is built with 1-inch thick MDF walls plus an additional 5/8-inch added to the lower front baffle, creating a solid 1 5/8-inch thick support for the woofer. Structural rigidity is further reinforced by two strategically placed braces that connect all vertical panels, ensuring minimal resonance and maximum acoustic stability. The inert cabinet design eliminates coloration, preserving the purity of the sound.
