The M-85 is strong, versatile, and fitted with an anti-shock copper mesh. Not only that, like almost all of Prodipe’s mics, it has been finished in rubber paint, giving an extra comfortable grip and improved noise reduction when handled.During the development of the Prodipe M-85, we placed a huge emphasis on obtaining perfect neutrality in the frequency response because we wanted to offer increased gain and at the same time, respect the rich harmonic content of the human voice. The M-85 is simple to use and manage with any type of equipment. The M-85’s new Prodipe cartridge, brought to fruition with plenty of input from Ludovic Lanen, uses a stunning mix of finesse and precision to restore the grain and colour of your voice.

Prodipe have also invested in manufacturing a vintage style all metal mic body with a polished chrome finish. Yes, we’re bringing back the legendary mics of the 50s!The V85 features a dynamic Prodipe cardioid cartridge and an increased output level which has been painstakingly adjusted by Ludovic Lanen for maximum impact and maximum balance on stage or in the studio. A vintage look that oozes quality with a modern Prodipe sound that oozes technology.
In the past, professional mics for stage vocalists were designed to boost the person’s voice, especially in rock and other types of electric music. It was the quantity of sound that mattered more than the quality!PA system technology has become considerably more sophisticated since then and performance has improved enormously. This means we need mics that are more neutral and that respect the natural timbre of the voice. With this in mind I wanted to create a new generation of dynamic mics that can keep up with the changing equipment, on stage as well as in a studio.

A totally new range of instrument mic systems for on stage recording of all your acoustic instruments. Violins and violas come in various sizes, so they need a fully adaptable mounting system, hence our decision to develop two flexible clamps. We have chosen to use a unidirectional capsule for several reasons: cardioid capsules and their mounting can cause problems for musicians. They are also aesthetically dubious. Our capsule is as close as possible to the sound source, just beneath the strings, tight against the soundboard, ensuring that the recording is richer in harmonics and more dynamic.Clamp(s) and XLR adaptor are supplied for wired mic use (48V phantom power supply required). The mic can also convert to a UHF mic by connecting it to the Prodipe UHF Lanen Série 21 (specially adapted for the Lanen 21 capsule impedance).
