Το FiiO New K3 έχει αναβαθμιστεί με ένα τσιπ δέκτη USB XMOS που επιτρέπει την υποστήριξη αποκωδικοποίησης PCM και DSD υψηλής ανάλυσης. Υποστηρίζει αποκωδικοποίηση PCM έως 32-Bit/384kHz και DSD έως DSD256 μέσω σύνδεσης USB. Διαθέτει, επίσης, διπλούς κρυστάλλινους ταλαντωτές εξασφαλίζοντας ποιοτική απόδοση. Οι διπλοί κρυστάλλινοι ταλαντωτές του νέου K3 διασφαλίζουν ότι όλα τα ψηφιακά σήματα ήχου που τροφοδοτούνται στο DAC είναι ακριβή και καθαρά για περαιτέρω βελτιωμένη ποιότητα ήχου.
Με το τμήμα φίλτρου χαμηλής διέλευσης του Q5 χρησιμοποιεί το υψηλής απόδοσης OPA1642 της Texas Instruments, ενώ ο μικροελεγκτής MSP432 εξασφαλίζει ότι τα ηχητικά σήματα χειρίζονται με ακρίβεια χαμηλότερη κατανάλωση ισχύος για μεγαλύτερη διάρκεια ζωής της μπαταρίας. Όταν αυτά τα στοιχεία συνδυάζονται με το τσιπ AK4490 DAC, τους πυκνωτές φιλμ Panasonic και το τσιπ ελέγχου όγκου NJW1195.
